2024/25 Winter Golf Policy
At Falcon Lakes Golf Club, we are committed to preserving the quality and playability of our course to ensure it is in top condition when spring arrives. During the winter months, the grass and turf are particularly vulnerable to damage, and we must take extra precautions to protect the course. Therefore, the following policies will be in place from December 1st through February 28th:
- Cart Path Only:
To protect our fairways and sensitive turf during the dormant season, all golf carts must remain on designated cart paths at all times. This will help prevent unnecessary wear and tear and allow the course to better recover for the spring season. However, if we experience favorable weather conditions, our Superintendent may allow carts off the path on a day-by-day basis. - Temperature Restrictions:
To safeguard the turf, we will not allow golfers onto the course until the temperature reaches above 40°F. The official temperature will be determined using The Weather Channel forecast for Basehor, KS. We will try and update the tee sheet to accurately reflect starting times based on the forecast. Please contact the Pro Shop for daily updates. - Frost Delays:
Frost can cause significant damage to the grass, which is why play may be delayed until any frost has completely cleared. These delays are essential to protect the course and will be communicated through the Pro Shop. - Dress Code:
Winter dress code is currently enforced. Learn more about our dress code details to ensure a great experience at Falcon Lakes.
We appreciate your understanding and support in preserving our course for a successful spring season. Thank you for helping us keep Falcon Lakes Golf Club in top form!
